Official Filmography
The Beatles starred in five films, all of which related to the soundtrack of his albums. The band appeared in two movies filmed by Richard Lester, A Hard Day's Night (1964) and Help! (1965). The group produced, directed and starred in the television movie Magical Mystery Tour (1967), and psychedelic animation film Yellow Submarine (1968). His latest film, the documentary Let It Be, released in 1970, showed the trials and recording sessions for the Get Back project in 1969, and won the Oscar for Best Original Song. Recently launched only a musical with songs of Beatles, Across the Universe, but it was released after the band broke up, only being inspired by his music, and not share with any of them. There is also a DVD of the show in Cirque du Soleil, inspired by the music of the band, and also with the original soundtrack.
